Other Required Information and Content


  • Two Sentence Description
    • Teams must submit a two sentence description that concisely summarizes their film.
      • Good example: Timmy the clown robs a toy store to get the helium he needs to make balloon animals, never suspecting he was attending his own funeral in the future.
      • Bad example: A film with passion and intrigue, comedy and laughs, about a man and a woman sharing a moment in time together.
    • The descriptions will be used in printed programs at screenings and anywhere the films are published.
    • Two sentence descriptions should be saved in the “2 Sentence Desciption” folder on the team Google Drive.
  • Team Name and Film Title
    • The official team name and film title for each team is the one that appears on each teams’ status page.
    • It is each teams responsibility to ensure that the correct team name, title and spelling are correctly filled out on the team status page.
    • The team name and film title on the status page will be used for the screening programs, the awards ceremony, online and anywhere a film is published.
  • Genre
    • Each film must have a designated genre, which is filled out during your application process online.
    • Awards will be given for best film in each genre
  • Production Stills
    • Each team is required to upload three ‘behind-the-scenes’ images of their film being produced.
    • Screen captures of the film being produced are acceptable.
    • Production still should be upload to the Z-Fest Facebook page.
    • Production still serve to build buzz and promote Z-Fest.
